Let
it Ride Introduction | How
to Play Let it Ride | Let
it Ride Strategy | The
Bonus Game

Let it
Ride is played on a blackjack-style table and looks like
the picture above
To play, you start by placing three equal bets in the circle
in front of your seating position. The circles are marked
"$," "1," and "2." If the
table minimum is $5, each bet must be $5. The dealer will
deal three cards, face down, to each player, and then deal
himself two community cards, which are also face down.
After the cards are dealt, you're allowed to look at your
three cards and decide whether to let your first bet (the
one marked "1") remain as a wager - you can let
it ride (hence the name of the game), or you can take it
back. The casino dealer will then turn up one community
card. At this point you analyze four cards and make a decision
as to whether you should let your second bet ride (marked
"2") or take it back. After the dealer turns over
the remaining community card, he'll turn over each player's
cards one at a time and then pay winning hands or take losing
ones.
In this game, even a bad hand of, say a 4, 6, and 8 in
unmatched suits can win. If the dealer turns up a pair of
10s or better, the entire table wins. Also, if the dealer
turns up a pair of 4s, 6s, or 8s, and these are the same
as the player's cards, it makes three of a kind - and a
winning hand. On the other hand, a strong hand can sometimes
turn out bad. For example, say you receive three cards to
a flush and the dealer's first flop matches your suit. If
you've let all three bets ride and the second community
card does not match, you lose all three bets. So, as you
can see, good poker strategy can be very helpful in this
game. The payout's for each hand very from a low pair of
10s up to a royal flush (look over the following payout
chart for more info).
