Carmen Media has just announced that a total of about £400,000 was raised by this years Caudwell Cycle Challenge in support
of in helping children suffering from sickness, disability or terminal illness. The annual fundraiser that is run by the Caudwell
Charity seemed to be in trouble this year until Carmen Media came onto the scene to rescue the fundraiser with a very nice donation.
The funding from the charity is used to buy medical instruments, equipment and for treatment and therapy of children with disabilities
or terminal illnesses.
Each year they stage The Caudwell Cycle Challenge and this year chose to ride from Athens to London, a 2,300 mile round trip.
This time however, just a couple of days before the cyclists were due to depart, two of the main members of the group dropped out
and an appeal for help was issued by the CEO of the Caudwell Group, John Caudwell, and an appeal which Carmen Media responded to.They
provided a Land Rover and a driver courtesy of their popular online casino and poker room called the Gaming Club online casino.
The Gaming Club Rover then had accompanied the team providing backup all the way from Athens to the finish line back in London on
the 29th of October, with a total of nearly £400,000 which was raised for the Caudwell Charity.
The Carmen Media CEO Tim Johnson was thrilled with the outcome and the results of the fund raiser. “The amount raised is just
fantastic and to be able to say that we were an active part in raising such a sum is a great feeling.”
