How
to Play Let it Ride | Let
it Ride Strategy | The
Bonus Game
The game let it ride is relatively new; it was introduced
to the playing public at the Eldorado Casino in Reno in
1993. Let it Ride is based on five-card stud poker. It's
played at a table that is similar in size and shape to a
blackjack table, and it accommodates a total of seven players.
The game is very popular with the house because of its 3.5
percent edge. (In fact, the game was originally designed
to lure slot players to a table game.) Let it Ride offers
a more relaxed and much slower game than blackjack, craps,
or regular poker.
The appeal of Let it Ride lies in the fact that you're
not playing against the dealer or other players as you do
in regular poker. Instead, you're only trying to obtain
a hand with a pair of 10's or better. Additionally, you
are allowed to take back two-thirds of your bet if you decide
your hand is not good enough. It's an easy game to play:
Your goal is to obtain a good poker hand using three cards
that are dealt to you, along with two cards that are shared
by the entire table.
