To reduce the house advantage the player
should take the odds offered on the point numbers 4, 5,
6, 8, 9 and 10. The house normally has a 1.4 percent advantage
on these pass-line numbers. However, if the player takes
the "single or free odds" the edge drops to 0.8
percent. When the "double odds" are taken the
house edge gets even lower dropping to 0.6 percent. This
is an excellent bet for the player. If the original bet
it $10 on the number six, the player would win $10 or even
money on this pass line bet, but, on the additional "odds"
bet the player would win $12 for the extra $10 bet. If double
odds are given the bet would be $20 and the win would be
$24. These are excellent moves for the craps player. |
